Additional Info: For best results use on bleached or pre-lightened hair, although some deeper shades may give a sheen or hint of colour to darker hair. Dye results may vary depending on hair type, hair porosity & base colour. Always follow manufacturer’s instructions fully. Do not condition hair prior to use as this can smooth the hair follicle and act as a barrier on the hair. Always shake tub/bottle beforehand or use a mixing bowl to ensure colour pigments are well mixed. A gorgeous blue and seems to be lasting well on my OH. Unfortunatley his pillow is now bright blue too as it even went right through the old pillow case we put on. Other than that it’s all good!

This color came out more pink than expected, but when taken care of, it still maintains a fire-engine red hue. It fades gradually to a fuschia-pink, and for a red dye, doesn’t have too much runoff. I bought the regular formula, and it absolutely shocked me how long it lasted, for a Manic Panic color. I definitely recommend this dye or the amplified formula to anyone looking for a long lasting, pink-hued red! -Monochrome-

I used this colour for almost a year (discovered the manic panic brand after having realized that the blue from crazy colour was way too dull , and was going off after each shampoo) and never been disappointed with it.I could use it once in two or three months and not touch my hair colour at all for weeks afterwards ! And it looked so beautiful !
    Ah I miss it^^

Lovely vibrant blue. Quite a messy one, fair amount of transfer onto pillows and neck after the first several washes. Not one of the longer lasting ones but fades out into a nice colour.

This was a pretty color. It only lasted through about 3-4 washes before having to re-dye. -Mandy-

I have used many different types of hair dye, and I have found this one to be the clear winner. I have used it over pre-bleached hair and it has come out a vibrant, bright red, but I have also used it over my dark hair and it came out a gorgeous bright red. I had to use a few bottles as I have a LOT of hair, but it worked surprisingly well! Highly recommended, and last flamin’ ages!! Bleached or not, you will still get a beautiful shade of noticeably red hair! -Just Leana-

Amazing stuff. No mixing, barely stains your hands if you don’t have any gloves. Washes out after about 5 washes but fades to a nice baby pink. Originally without lightening my hair it came up a shocking bright pink colour. Really vibrant stuff. It’s great! Doesn’t take long to do either. Small 100ml has lasted me ages. I’ve dyed my hair 3 times with it and the bottle still isn’t empty!! -Blugoogirl-

Probably my favourite dye so far. It’s really bright and it works on undyed hair aswell! But now that I’ve done it on almost white hair, it’s just stunning. And I didn’t notice any powder, nor has it stained any of my bedding or clothes except for the hair towel, cause it does bleed a bit for the first few washes, but I just blowdry the hair, to prevent staining clothes. Staying power is 4 to 5 weeks, which for me is great! -ASG-

I used this Colour with directions lagoon blue. I used this colour at my roots and this worked very very well. It lasted a bout 2 weeks before I needed to re-do it. The colour was beautiful. and blended well with the Lagoon blue. It glistened in the sunlight gorgeously. When it did fade, it was not a horrible colour like most blues and greens, it just went to a very light green/blue colour. I highly recommend this colour. -Siousxy-

40 Vol bleach should never be used for on the scalp applications. Be careful doing this. nothing more then 20 should be used on the roots/scalp. your head produces heat so the roots always go lighter then the rest so a good idea is to mix some 20 vol, apply that to the first 1/4 -1/2 inch and then 30 or 40 to the rest. The product gives great results, and is compairable to professional products. (im a professional stylist). ALL of manic panic product are on the pro level imho. -Michelle-

I remember this initially turned out like a very bright magenta on me for the first few days. then it faded to the red it’s supposed to, more of a fire-truck color. it gradually faded very unevenly to a pumpkin-y orange, which is what i was left with. Staying power isn’t great, but it’s still one of the better Manic Panic colors. -Laura S-

good colour, striking, although mine has gone abit green but might be because i used ultra violet in other parts of my hair, overall i was surprised and really chuffed with the results, i definatly reccommend using amplified colours from manic panic really does improve overall quality. -Tesscos-

This wasn’t the best color because it turned out a purple on my hair, so i bleached it out again tryed it again and it turned out amazing the sad part was that it started getting dramatically lighter by every wash. (i was my hair everyday) It only lasted one week until it was vibrant and faded to an orangy color. But i did love the color after the dye!

Warning! This is a highlighter type green with lots and lots of yellow in it. It comes out very bright. If you want a deeper, more vibrant green I suggest something else. However, if you’re looking for a tennis ball green color, you’ve found the right dye. -Vixen Sings Black-

I wanted to get my dyed black hair blonde again (I’m a natural blonde), so I popped on this bleach after a couple of bleaches I had done at the hair dresser (whom only managed to make my hair a very dark shade of reddish brown, almost black), had it in for the longest time. I was quite disappointed when I realised my hair was only a dark shade of red, not even gingery! I actually liked the shade of red, thus the two stars, but it didn’t help me acheive my goal. Sure, I didn’t expect to become blonde in just one go, but I had expected better results than this. Note: My hair was dyed black for approx. one year, making it not the most impossible task to suck out colour from. One good thing about this bleach, though, is that it doesn’t ruin your hair at all. At least it didn’t to me, but it didn’t remove much colour either, so… I suggest getting a different brand of bleach if you want to go light haired. -Nekro-ish-
NOTE FROM BEEUNIQUE – If two trips to a hairdresser using professional bleach cannot lighten hair dye enough then you may be wasting your money trying a 30 volume box bleach kit. Black hair dye is often notoriously hard colour to remove.

I found that after a few washes my hair had turned from beautiful black to dark shade of green. Everywhere i went people were commenting on my ‘green hair’. I was stuck with the colour untill my hair had grown out – eeek! -Toria-

I’ve used Stargazer several times over the past year or so. It’s a nice product, it isn’t as bright and funky as some other products, but it speaks out and is very nice. I recently used a mix of Coral Blue and Magenta to mix a nice purple in my fringe. I would definitely recommend it, the only downside is, like most semi-permanent hair dyes, it washes out very quickly, I don’t mind this, but others might. -Sakiika-

I was quite worried about bleaching my hair for the first time as my hair is naturally a very dark brown. I left the bleach on for the longest amount of time and I managed to acheive a shade light enough to apply a red manic panic shade so I was very pleased!! Now i have bright red hair!! -Holeee-

I used this over faded Crazy Color Capri Blue, and it came out an absolutely stunning colour. It is THE purple…it’s got such a lovely vibrant colour and gets a lot of attention. However, after the fourth wash it faded to an old granny kind of purple. It looked like a purple rinse – if they exist. So it is a great colour, but requires a lot of dye and determination.

i have had this dye in my hair for about a month now, put it on top of faded carnation pink and it turned out Fantastic! the colour is still as fresh as the day i put it on and i wash my hair about 3 times a week. AMAZING staying power definatly recommend 😀

i have natural platina blond hair but i asked a friend who is a hairdresser if i should bleach it first and she told me yes, as it would absorb more colour that way. so i did. i left the colour in for about 1 hr, it stayed for about three weeks before i noticed any changes in the colour, after 6 weeks i coloured it again without bleaching it first and now another 6 weeks after the colour is still sharp. i do have aftergrowth though so it looks a bit watered out but not much. and this is even when i use head and shoulders shampoo/balsam ( i have mild psoriasis) wich is not recommended becouse it is strong and will make the colour wash out faster. i am all in all super happy with the result 😀 michelle

I had never bleach on my hair before and was very nervous of using this product. I should’t have been – the box contained everything I needed (gloves, tint brush and small mixing bowl) plus very clear step by step instructions. Before bleaching my hair was a vary dark red colour, after years of using various red box dyes. I left the bleach on for the longest recommended time and was pleased to find that it had lifed my hair to a darkish ginger colour with blonde streaks. I did not expect it to have lifted as much red out as it did so I was very impressed! I used Special Effects Devillish over it afterwards and was delighted with how bright and even the colour was. For people with long thick hair it might be better to get two boxes, as I found myself running out before I had time to properly coat the under layers if my hair. Overall though, I was very happy with this as my first time bleaching experience, and would cheerfully recommend it to anyone!

I found that the amplified version is definitely worth spending a little extra on because it lasts around twice as long as the normal version (7 weeks versus 3-4) and it does go a nice shade of deep blue. Despite this it loses a star because it just isn’t as good as Special Effects dye e.g. one jar isn’t enough to cover my hair when with Special Effects dye one tub would be plenty and there would still be enough left over to top up. Another thing that I didn’t like about this dye is that it faded to a horrible blue, sea green and olive green mixture that I was stuck with for over a month until I finally decided to do a soap cap to get rid of it.

I applied this color to already red base – faded permanent color. The result is great. Color is not pink and not orange, not too dark cherry, but real rich red.

AWESOME shade of pink! It starts out a really intense magenta, then fades to a lighter pink. I got lots of compliments on it. I only needed half a container of it for my shoulder-length hair. It hardly bleeds at all, but still faded pretty quickly for me (about two weeks).

I have used both the sandard and amplified version of this. Definately my fave colour, I have white bleached hair and it goes a darker pink to start with, but after 2 or 3 washes it goes the vibrant pink, lasted for about 4 weeks 🙂

~On natural red hair~ Made my red hair a stunning Magenta color. I got many compliments even saying I looked just like Strawberry Short cake. The best manic panic color I used and I will most defiantly use it again and try it on bleached hair. Very easy to clean of the skin with make up remover or nail polish remover.

I love this color. I was originally going to get Cotton Candy Pink but they were out of stock so I just got Hot Hot Pink. Good idea. First I bleach it with the Flash Lightening kit but I missed some bits and some werent as blonde. But it worked out perfect. It just looked like I had darker highlights. I loved it. I wash it every other day and it has been going good. I use a ph balanced shampoo with 2 tablespoons of manic panic in it. Note when it rinses it will not come clear. It is better when it stays pink it makes it look more vibrant. -Taylor-

Lovely vibrant shade of purple. I was a bit unsure of using Adore as it’s not a well known brand, as there has been a shortage of SFX deep purple, i thought I’d give this a go, It’s hard to find a decent shade of purple as it’s either comes out too blue toned or too pink toned. This dye was perfect a nice rich cadbury colour. Comes out pretty dark at first after a few washes it gets even more purple. I highly recommend this. I’m not even going to bother going back to SFX this dye wins hands down. It lasts a while too, I’ve had it in my hair for just over a month and it’s faded too a lovely lilac colour with shades of pink. Make sure you use this on bleached hair for it to be vibrant.

A good colour to top up with I also used it as a toner mixed in the conditioner to get a nice pastel pink

Caveat Emptor with this one: gave the most STUNNING bright, incredible purple on my bleached hair, so pretty! and very unusual, almost glowing with a gorgeous and unique blue undertone, while it was first applied ro my hair.

I washed my hair: it disappeared to a weird UGLY and PALE washed out grey blue. Almost faded denim territory.

I washed it again: it was TOTALLY gone. The End.

Total ripoff. The best purple dye I’ve ever used is Directions Plum, which while definitely a redder undertoned purple than this, in spite of the name is still very much a “true” purple; lasts well, and costs half what this one does.

MP: Ultraviolet is SO bad it’s put me off trying any other purple shade from the brand (I’ve had good, OK, and “meh” experiences with oranges and reds from them in the past, but this was truly SUPER disappointing and not what I expected, given in my experience purple tends to be a fairly tenacious colour family compared to say the reds of the world)
