For best results use on bleached or pre-lightened hair, although some deeper shades may give a sheen or hint of colour to darker hair. Dye results may vary depending on hair type, hair porosity & base colour. Always follow manufacturer’s instructions fully. Do not condition hair prior to use as this can smooth the hair follicle and act as a barrier on the hair. Always shake tub/bottle beforehand or use a mixing bowl to ensure colour pigments are well mixed. Colours in the tub/bottle are not necessarily an indication of the final hair colour and the dyes can vary slightly between batches, therefore dye results cannot be guaranteed. I left this in overnight and used it on bleached hair so I got a really bright result and really liked the colour. It didn’t work as well when I left it on for a just a couple of hours.

I’ve used this dye on bleached and unbleached hair, and I have to say the results are great on either. Obviously it’s more vibrant on bleached hair, but it was still very noticeable on my dark brown, unbleached hair too, leaving it a lovely rich shade of what I like to call ‘jessica rabbit’ red!

This is probably my favourite of the shades i have tried – a delicately brooding storm cloud violet-blue – but sadly, like it’s special effects equivalent, ‘wildflower’, it fades dramatically with the first wash and, by the third, is a pale violet-grey tone. whilst i personally enjoy the grey colour, i wish it took longer to get there! -Bugsy Monroe-

I expected this dye to look the colour of lush grass and to be therefore fairly dark. I was pleased though when it came out an amazing bright neon green! However, this dye had very little staying power and almost washed out completely after 3 washes. There was also a big difference in colour after the first wash. I suppose you can expect that from a green dye though, and I would definitely buy it again! -Niccii-

Oh my god, it was sooooooo red. A deep pinkish red. With my curly shortish hair I looked like a lolita – bit cute, bit goth. The colour has some crazy staying-power. After the pink that it faded to wouldnt go away after 2 month I tried to bleach it out – it was like neon-peach. But well, dying it over with some caramel-blonde solved it. Great colour, but too pink after a few washes. -Lil-

I put this over my faded Directions Flamingo Pink (which had been bleached to white before that), thinking that it would last much longer. All the other reviews looked really good too. But when I put it on it lasted for about a week before it began turning orange again. I was really disappointed, as Directions had seemed to last longer. The colour is wonderful at first and perhaps it comes out much better and lasts much longer if you bleach it first too. I reccomend bleaching first. 🙂

I bought this dye to dilute with conditioner to make a lilac colour. It worked well and the bottle of dye lasts ages this way. So you get a lot for your money if diluting 🙂 Loses a star for not lasting long, but it is a just a semi! After a few washes it started to fade to a pretty pale blue.
