Additional Info: For best results use on bleached or pre-lightened hair, although some deeper shades may give a sheen or hint of colour to darker hair. Dye results may vary depending on hair type, hair porosity & base colour. Always follow manufacturer’s instructions fully. Do not condition hair prior to use as this can smooth the hair follicle and act as a barrier on the hair. Always shake tub/bottle beforehand or use a mixing bowl to ensure colour pigments are well mixed. Colours in the tub/bottle are not necessarily an indication of the final hair colour and the dyes can vary slightly between batches, therefore dye results cannot be guaranteed. Always try a strand & sensitivity test prior to use. Our Hair Dye FAQ section has lots of useful hints and tips on how to get the best from the type of hair dyes we sell. Here you can see instructions for use, clean-up tips, how to prolong the dye results and step by step guides on using different brands.

Easy to use, last pretty well long, which makes the price very fair. -Seraeth-

I’ve used Stargazer several times over the past year or so. It’s a nice product, it isn’t as bright and funky as some other products, but it speaks out and is very nice. I recently used a mix of Coral Blue and Magenta to mix a nice purple in my fringe. I would definitely recommend it, the only downside is, like most semi-permanent hair dyes, it washes out very quickly, I don’t mind this, but others might. -Sakiika-

This colour came out a brilliant pinky purple – but only on the palest of bleached hair. I bleached all my hair before dying – my roots were a (natural) ash blonde and towards the tips were assorted faded colours – ending in a very faded black (more like a red brown) After bleaching the roots of my hair were WHITE and the tips that familiar rusty yellow blonde that many people with naturally black hair get when they bleach. I applied the dye to the roots of my hair working in down towards the tips. Naturally it was a disaster. I didn’t have enough dye to get to the ends of my very fine shoulder length dye, and the dye wouldn’t take over the yellow blonde. I ended up with beautiful purple roots and yellow mid lengths and ends. Yuck. However all of these problems are mostly my fault. Next time i would a) bleach the absolute crap out of all my hair b) buy at least three bottles!! -Phoenix-

Colour came out darker than I expected and faded over the first week more than other crazy colours. Even then it was still visable, only a grimier blue. Really easy to apply over dreadlocks, and very reasonably priced. Stained my hands a bit after use though. I have wool woven into my dreads and it dyed the white wool really bright and stayed bright for a long time, even after washing several times. Would perhaps be a good dye for roving wool if making hair falls? -Emufaery-

Possibly the best dye I have ever used! The dye feels nice to apply and soaks in well to bleached hair, and even slightly covers natural dirty blonde hair. It smells nice too! The colour came out amazingly bright, and it stayed that bright for almost 2 and a half months before it started to fade a lot (I must note, this was with the aid of good conditioning and the use of dry shampoo) It made my hair feel very healthy and conditioned too, so definately recommended for those with dryer hair from all of that bleaching! Well worth it. -Mistress Pandora-

As with the Atlantic Blue, the consistency is lovely. The dye itself covers bleach well, but users need to be mindful that if covering more yellowy hair, it will go a bit grey. There are a few strands in my hair that are lavender and grey, but other than that, the colour is bold, vibrant and shiny. There is more than enough dye in each pot to cover a full head of hair, even if you have shoulder length hair (or at least in my experience) so definately worth it, it’s a bargain 🙂 -Mistress Pandora-

Used it over Bleach hair and worked a treat, down side doesn’t sit in too long

I used this colour on my light brown hair, and the result was decent. I put it all over, and tied a plastic bag around my hair, and slept in it. The colour turned out something dark blue-ish under my school’s fluorescent lighting, but was a really vibrant purple under natural lighting. Unfortunately it always appeared more blue than purple, and it didn’t last as long as I would like, but most demi-permanent dyes don’t last long
