I LOVE Alpine Green. It’s a beautiful rich foresty shade. Without a doubt the nicest green I’ve ever seen. I put it over purple hair that had been bleached to a lilac colour and it still came out amazingly vibrant and lasted ages. I adore this colour. One day I will have a full head of it!

I have been dyeing my hair for a very long time and I’ve had some amazing results, but this was easily the worst Manic Panic dye. It never was a very bright color and within 4 days it had faded into a pukeish yellow. It even did this over platinum blonde hair. I heated the dye and left it in for 6 hours. I wouldn’t recommend this color to anyone. I was very surprised as Manic Panic has usually given me good results. -Rob-

My hair’s a lightish brown naturally and it lifts the colour right out and turns it almost white within 10 mins or so; you do need a mixing bowl and brush, but it means the bleach is in a proper bottle rather than the applicator ones you have to throw out after use even if you havent used up all the bleach, so you can keep it if you dont use it all up and have enough to do your roots the next time!

I love, love, LOVE this colour! It comes out a perfect Cyndi Lauper orange/yellow and has amazing staying power. Just make sure you’re bleached to a light blonde first or it won’t take!

I just dyed my hair with this amazing dye! It looks fabulous! It’s so bright and the colour is just beautiful! I don’t know about the staying power, as I’ve only just dyed it and only washed it once, but I’m not too worried, as I like to change colours quite a bit. -ASG-

This color look nice and very fresh. I have had blue hair for just over 2 years now and I like it to be the most blue hair that people have seen. but when buying this it toned down my hair to a greeny color, I know turquoise does have a hint of green but after my blue started to fade I could see that i had alot more bassy tones in my than i had before using this dye. IT’S NICE BUT NOT FOR ME! Used on already blue hair perivously bleach hair very pale yellow – 9-10 base

I wasn’t such a fan of this, really. I used it for a friend’s hair, which had been lightened slightly and will hold to pretty much any dye like a beast, but the staying power of this dye was less than a semi-permanent should be. By two washes, it was greyed out very badly- by four, it was gone. -Kiski-

A really lovely colour and lasts a brilliantly long time considering how light it is. Also when it fades it fades to a pale green which doesn’t look quite as awful as some other faded colours. I found it lasted much longer than Special Effects Fish Bowl and was also a nicer colour. I recommend it.

I had to put 2 coatings on to get the colour it shows, it’s a pretty good dye, it doesn’t bleed that much. The thing is it seems to fade ginger, it could have been the colour underneath but when I bleached it it turned white not ginger. I think if I ever go green again I might go a shade darker.

Colour was absolutely beautiful when it first went on; a gorgeous, deep blue. I was applying it over dyed blonde hair and while the dye didn’t appear to take very well during application, the end result was fabulous. It smells good, and one and a half pots was enough to dye ALL of my near-waist length hair, so the efficiency is great. Unfortunately, the colour only lasted 2 weeks for me and faded to a bad green colour, despite mixing the dye in with my conditioner. Can’t fault the colour, but would prefer better staying power.

I dyed the Atlantic Blue colour to a red-ish ginger colour, kept the dye in for about 1 hour and my hair turned out turquoise. I didn’t mind to much because it was a nice colour, but the dyed faded out in the next two washes so i had to re-dye my hair.

The color which turned out was looking amazingly vibrant I used it on my gold blond hair for an ombre after a few(2-4)days it will look more greyish than purple (but it still looks damm good). The only bad thing is that it would never ever last you more than a week (or two)if you wash your hair every day like me…too bad for such a nice color. -Chloe-

I adore this colour. I used it over faded turquoise hair and it came out a very dark bluey green. it faded within 2-3 washes and came out nearly the same colour I was before, for me though. Think next time I will mix this with a bit of Ebony and Turquoise to try and keep it dark. otherwise great!

While this is a lovely colour, it hardly stays in my hair. It comes out in a gorgeous purple tint but it washed out within 2 washes and then turned my hair a weird shade of yellow in the process, despite it being toned and white before application.
It’s a shame, as it really is nice but unfortunately for me this is the one Directions colour that doesn’t last for months.

The color was fantastic, however it didn’t last for that long. I had to touch it up every week and a half or so, and I would leave it on for about an hour at a time. I would recommend it to people who want to have a week in the summer with tealish/green hair, but not to those who want to maintain the color for a long period of time. I tend to use purple as an accent colour with hot pinks rather than “whole head” but over time I’ve tried about four or five different purples from more expensive brands and this is easily the best, beating the others hands down.
A cheap and cheerful “Cadbury’s” purple that lasts a lot longer and fades prettily through pleasant lavender shades rather than going very grey as some faded purples can.
