For best results use on bleached or pre-lightened hair, although some deeper shades may give a sheen or hint of colour to darker hair. Dye results may vary depending on hair type, hair porosity & base colour. Always follow manufacturer’s instructions fully. Do not condition hair prior to use as this can smooth the hair follicle and act as a barrier on the hair. Always shake tub/bottle beforehand or use a mixing bowl to ensure colour pigments are well mixed. Colours in the tub/bottle are not necessarily an indication of the final hair colour and the dyes can vary slightly between batches, therefore dye results cannot be guaranteed. On virgin hair this did not yield the same results as Manic Panic’s Hot Hot Pink even though the colour is as bright in the packaging. The colour it gave was more of a burgundy, however because my length is more of a golden brown red + gold will will yield these results. I am sure on bleached hair it would be great, but not on virgin hair.

Brilliant, bright pink that gives a lovely shiny finish, but unfortunately loses points for staining things (watch out for stray hairs on your bathroom lino, they make pink lines) and for limited longevity. I love this colour but I found I was having to top it up every week to keep it vibrant. Otherwise, a lovely product!

I used this on my hair when it wasn’t bleached at all, it turned a lovely dark purple colour! However the dye stained everything! Purple pillow cases, purple shower, purple collars on my t shirts, bewarned! -Toria-
NOTE FROM BEEUNIQUE – All vegetable dyes can cause staining on clothing, linen etc althought this is normally easily removed when washed.

I loved the color of this, initially it is very deep purple and is very blue toned. It faded very nicely because I dyed it over pink. When I used it over white, however, it faded into an awful icky grey. Wouldn’t reccommend that. -MissKittyRawr-

I was quite disappointed with this colour. Unlike Cyclamen, which I was very impressed with, my bleached hair did not hold it well at all, and it came out more of an aquamarine with green and blue streaks, before fading to a green within about a week. My advice would be to make sure your hair is bleached as much as possible, and don’t use it if you’re afraid of going green! -Peaches-

Less easy to apply than the Special Effects on dreadlocks, but still a fairly easy product to apply. Really great colour and glowed brilliantly under UV light! Didn’t leave too much of a stain on any towels, and my pillows didn’t get dyed after application, a definate bonus! It lightened considerably over the first week after the first application, but stayed brighter longer after the second application. Definately a good product, I would reccomend it! -Emufaery-

I had black hair and really wanted a change. I bleached my hair before hand, but the black was very persistant. I still had black bits in my hair when I put the Fire Red in, and I was really pleased with how bright it was! It looks awesome! Has been just over two weeks now and the colour has not faded! 🙂 -Kelly-

I left it in my hair for only 30 minutes (usually I leave it in over night) and the results were great! It made my pale yellow hair completely stormy blue. In the sun light it glowed and shined like a jewel. After about three and a half weeks it started to turn a little green which was still pretty. A month after I dyed I made my hair brown again but there was still a small amount of greenish blue left in. The only Manic Panic I used that stain my neck blue days after the dye job and some of my shirt collars. Don’t let that discourage you it was easy to clean and all in all its was a very beautiful color!

Very pretty color, but it came out an aqua color, which was okay because I liked it. It did turn green afterwards after like 2 weeks, but you can avoid that by mixing it with a pinky purple dye

I’ve used this dye once before (stained my mom’s tub blue… she was not impressed) so I knew what to expect, but… I still feel like they should add a warning label on the ‘extra stainy’ dyes. It lasted well beyond what I was expecting it to, and turned a deep dark blue, fading gradually. It was still an intense, deep, bright blue when I tried bleaching it out. My roots went blonde right away, fading to green, then a lighter blue. Looks like I’ll have to try bleaching one more time before I dye it again. For noobs, just a word of CAUTION: It stains. Badly. Have vim or comet for scrubbing your tub nearby, and consider shower capping your hair and washing separatelyl from showering so as not to stain your body and minimize spash marks on nearby surfaces. Also, latex or poly gloves for washing your hair avoids getting blue under your nails and all over your hands.

Beautiful colour. I used it over yellow bleached hair and it went more green then blue. Still a very nice colour. It doesn’t last very long though maybe 3-4 washes it was quite like. Also not a very good consistency, It’s very watery so it can be a bit messy.

This dye is a lovely blue based purple, and while the colour shows up beautifully, it doesn’t stick and I found it to fade considerably after just one wash, even after I left it in for over four hours. It also ended up quite patchy, despite me being experienced a meticulous with hair that generally takes dye quite evenly. This is very much a pastel shade, and don’t expect it to last or stain your hair very much. It is a lovely colour though, and I’d consider it pretty unique among the different ranges.

I am surprised by how blonde my hair turned out. I dyed my hair black just 3 weeks ago then used this stuff and it is a solid strawberry blonde. Very impressive. It probably would have been better if there was more bleach in the kit. I suggest getting two kits if you have thick or long hair! Also, I had no scalp itch at all and my hair is not super dried out. -Theresa-

This dye is by far the best I have ever used. It stays vibrant for much longer than any other dye. Just make sure you are not wearing important clothes, as my hands were red for a week and you could have mistaken me for a murderer judging by my clothes But in all aspects this is an amazing dye.
