Additional Info: For best results use on bleached or pre-lightened hair, although some deeper shades may give a sheen or hint of colour to darker hair. Dye results may vary depending on hair type, hair porosity & base colour. Always follow manufacturer’s instructions fully. Do not condition hair prior to use as this can smooth the hair follicle and act as a barrier on the hair. Always shake tub/bottle beforehand or use a mixing bowl to ensure colour pigments are well mixed. Colours in the tub/bottle are not necessarily an indication of the final hair colour and the dyes can vary slightly between batches, therefore dye results cannot be guaranteed. Always try a strand & sensitivity test prior to use. Our Hair Dye FAQ section has lots of useful hints and tips on how to get the best from the type of hair dyes we sell. Here you can see instructions for use, clean-up tips, how to prolong the dye results and step by step guides on using different brands.

Whilst we endeavour to ensure that the colour and description of all items shown on this site are as accurate as possible items may differ slightly due to the photographic procedure and transferring of images to the website.

I used this mixed 1:1 with paprika, they’re similar shades, it came out gorgeous! A rich auburn colour. SO shiny and just such a beautiful dark redy orange. I loved it, the fade wasn’t too bad either! It just lightened up so if you like a ginger colour but not a disgusting ginger, if you know what I mean? I usually hate ginger stages but this kept the brown tones so it didn’t go ORANGE.
I’m fading it completely out, so no topping it up and it went a pretty strawberry blonde. It’s been about 6 weeks with force fading and washing quite frequently. The colour lasts well, it changes with every wash but not like a ‘Oh man, it needs topping up’ kind of way. Hasn’t got the same staying power as Raging Red. I’d definitely get this again 🙂
Oh an the bottle lasted fr ages, I’d used it mixed in smaller ratios with other Adore colour so couldn’t give a decent review on it.

[Background] In July 2016 I bleached half of my hair and coloured it with varying shades of vibrant turquoise and purple (originally used LaRiche Directions & Adore) and every time I washed it, my hair became bluer! Eventually it settled on a lovely aquamarine-bluey-green, but sure enough my work found a problem with “extreme /unnatural hair colours”… something about “uniform policy”… so I figured it was time to get back to something relatively “natural” – so what if it wasn’t mine!
A haircut in Feburary 2017 left me with less bleached colour to cover so figured I’d go for a dip-dye/ombre look. I’ve always loved the colour of a natural redhead, and I liked the warm natural shades of the Adore range, but I couldn’t find any accurate visual results online. Also I worried that any dye I used might go neon over what remained of the bleach; in the end I just had to take a wild guess on the dyes and try it out.
I chose Adore French Cognac & Copper Brown and evenly mixed them together, applying it to my all ready bleached tips, as well as some unbleached hair as well. Result? On the tips, a million times yes! However on the unbleached hair, the dye didn’t cling at all which was a shame. Nevertheless I am thrilled with the tips, and I love how the colour slightly varies in different lights, just like my friend’s natural red hair – definitely doing something right with this mix!
Only giving 4 stars due to the non-existent effect on unbleached hair. Overall, very happy to be an honorary member of #TeamRedhead!
