For best results use on bleached or pre-lightened hair, although some deeper shades may give a sheen or hint of colour to darker hair. Dye results may vary depending on hair type, hair porosity & base colour. Always follow manufacturer’s instructions fully. Do not condition hair prior to use as this can smooth the hair follicle and act as a barrier on the hair. Always shake tub/bottle beforehand or use a mixing bowl to ensure colour pigments are well mixed. Colours in the tub/bottle are not necessarily an indication of the final hair colour and the dyes can vary slightly between batches, therefore dye results cannot be guaranteed. A beautiful, rich midnight blue that starts off looking rather on the purple side, but washes out to a beautiful midnight, navy blue then slowly to more of an electric blue, and because i left it alone so long it eventually started going a sort of sky/turquoisey blue which is really good cos most blues go either a light muddy green or a greyish teal colour , but i used it on faded out after-midnight ( manic panic) hair which had been applied to bleached platinum white. Only bad points are that it stains your scalp and forehead for a few days ( when you wake up you can see blue on ur forehead, not nice) and its like rinsing the dye out all over again when you wash it, and the tub is pretty small, i had ot use an entire tub on my shortish hair. But overall a beautiful rich ,deep midnight blue that starts off almost purple looking, and dosen’t fade badly or to a horrible washed out tealy greeny grey colour. Really recommend it! (:

What I’m currently using as there was no Fuschia. It’s come a lovely purpley pink colour over the mix of blues and pinks I’ve had on recently. Seems to be staying pretty well too, not much colour running when I was it, but I’ve only had it on since Saturday.

Directions is my favourite brand of hair dye and like the others i have tried this was a great colour. like most blues it faded quite quickly but didn’t turn a muddy colour. my hair wasn’t really bleached light enough when i used this dye so the resulting colour was more of a teal than turquoise. this dye was easy to use and didn’t stain the bathroom or my skin 😀 this was also easy to bleach out when i needed to so little extra damage was done to my hair. -VulcanEars-

10-15 minutes and wash sounded like a very short time to keep a dye on your head, but I obeyed. My hair was stained all purple and I went “nooooo not again!”. This has happened to me before, when I kept silver shampoo on my head for very long. I washed my hair with normal shampoo immediately and the purple color faded quite well. However, on wet hair, the impression was “dirty”. It was light purple at the top of the head and light yellow at the roots – the comparison making the blonde parts look even a bit green. I dried my hair and the purpleness settled a bit. Okay, better. My hair looks white now, but it’s normal blonde at the roots, making it look slightly goofy. I wasn’t expecting the color to stick onto the roots though.. But still. When you want white or silver hair you just have to know what you’re doing: It’s the most difficult color to achieve and most of the time it’s always too yellow or too purple. Take a risk?

This hair dye is really good, although it does bled a lot, and starts off a really black/blue colour, but after about 2 weeks it was a lovely blue colour and then started going green after about 4 weeks, i’ve had the dye in for about 2months without topping it up and its still a beautiful bluey/green colour, i’d definately recomend this to others wanting a nice blue/greeny colour, it’s stunning

I used this dye over dyed dark brown hair (I don’t really want to bleach) I wrapped my hair in clingfilm and blowdryed that to make my head warm them wrapped it in a towel to keep the heat in… left it on two hours and the colour was GREAT! like a bright red despite that fact I used it on dark hair, it lasted ages too even though every time I washed my hair the water was pink, I still have a red tint on it now. would defo recommend. -Tarn-

Applied to brassy blonde bleached hair. Easy to apply and having it in a tub was easier to use than the Crazy Colour. It came out a brilliant colour and faded really well over two weeks but when I washed the dye off originally it did stain the bottom of the bath. I think that’s because it was so dark though. Would definitely recommend.
